[04 May 2006] Missing the old sound |
Yesterday, it was Sir Nikos' birthday (belated HBD, Sir!!!), and the Chorale planned a surprise for him. Most of us didn't greet him when we got there, and I bet he got annoyed at the start of rehearsal coz he was lecturing us again and all. Anyway, it was while we were singing the last song for the night when we turned off the lights, and Mitch came in with a cake and a single candle lit. But before she reached Sir, the light went out, so we had to open the light. Hehehe! Anyway, it was a fun night. What made it really fun was that there were so many people who attended yesterday, and that before we went home, Steph, Sab, Minette, Ate Prec, Ate Pincha, Greg, Kuya Jon, Jake, Heinz, Jean and I had this short jamming session at the elevator lobby of PGH. Except for Ate Pincha and Jean, the rest were part of the touring group last summer. After singing, I can only say that I definitely miss the tour... I miss the group... I miss the old sound. Although Sir Nikos has been telling us lately that the Chorale is already producing a very good sound, compared before, the feeling that I had yesterday when our small group was singing was soooo different. I loved the sound. We make a good group. The harmony, the balance... aaah, great. And we were just singing there, not caring if people are passing by. Kala mo nasa piazza uli, ba! |
